This summer, my mom and I challenged ourselves to walk all of Gouin Boulevard from west to east in one day. The walk came during an emotionally heavy time following the passing of my grandfather this past June, and it ended up meaning so much more than just completing 53km.
After walking for over 12 hours, I was reminded of the importance of existing in the moment, appreciating the people walking beside you, and taking things one step at a time even when it is difficult.
Now, I'm taking that perspective with me into 24h Tremblant as part of one of PwC Canada’s walking teams ❄️
This is a yearly fundraiser in which teams ski, snowboard, run, or walk in relay for 24 hours to raise funds for children's health and wellbeing. Funds go towards medical and social organizations that support children who are ill, have physical or mental health challenges, have special needs, or live in disadvantaged communities.
Walking across Montreal this summer made me realize how privileged I am to have my health and the capability to take on these challenges, and I want to turn that appreciation into making an impact.
My goal is to raise $1000 for this cause. If you are in a position to contribute or share the word, I would really appreciate it!
Thank you for your support!
