I'm really into sports and there's no stopping me! I'm a fighter and I love challenges! I was born with a heart defect. I had heart surgery when I was 18 months old and I'm still undergoing cardiology treatment. I may need another heart operation in the future. I also have severe scoliosis, which has progressed rapidly. From about 20 months of age, I alternated between wearing Boston corsets during the summer, which could be removed for short periods, and plaster corsets, which went from my neck down to my waist, every other month of the year. Fortunately, I no longer had to wear these plaster corsets when I had my first operation, at the age of seven, to install orthopedic rods in my back. Since then, I've had surgery every six months to lengthen the rods to allow me to grow, but as I'm currently in the middle of a growth spurt, I'm now operated on every four months. Since I was born, I've been in the operating room nearly 17 times, and I'll still have to undergo between 10 and 12 operations on my back.

Above all, I'm pretty determined! I ski downhill, play soccer, basketball, tennis, golf and ride my bike! And when I've recovered, I'm going to join a ski racing team, jump on a trampoline, climb, surf and jump into a pool...
