Matthew Pekofsky
My motivations:
Helping others is something that is in my DNA.
I was taught from a young age not to hesitate before giving the shirt of your back to someone in need, to give before someone asks you for something they may need, and, to always look out for the wellbeing of those around you even if you may not know those people well or even at all.
One of my most celebrated accomplishments remains having donated bone marrow to a young girl in desperate need of a transplant just shy of 10 years ago. This young girl who was a complete stranger is, today, happy, healthy and thriving.
Needless to say, when my colleagues asked me to join their team, I certainly did not need to think twice about whether I wanted to step-up to help others while doing something that I love at the same time.
