My motivations:
Hello -
As winter quickly approaches in North America, it is once again time for the 24H Tremblant charity fundraiser. In early December, I leave for Montreal and beyond, to Mont Tremblant in the Laurentian mountains, for this 24 hour downhill ski marathon.
My company, Insum Solutions, A Talan Company, has been sponsoring a team for several years, and the 24 Heures Tremblant represents a highlight of the year for the goodwill and team spirit that it generates. Here is how it works: over the 24 hour period, the team members relay each other in 1.5 hour segments in order to tally the maximum number of total runs for the team. The event begins at 12 noon on Saturday, December 9 and runs through the night, ending at 12 noon on Sunday, December 10.
The funds raised at this event are donated to several children's charities in Quebec, including the Fondation Charles Bruneau, which is devoted to pediatric cancer research and treatment. Last year, over $4 million CAD were raised, of which the Insum team contributed over $10,000 CAD. We hope an equally successful showing this year.
I'd really appreciate it if you would support my participation in this event and make a donation to the Foundation by using the "Donate to Christopher" button near the top of this page. Any amount would be truly appreciated. (All amounts are in Canadian dollars, which currently exchange at about 75% of the US greenback.) Please note that the deadline is December 9.
Thanks very much for your consideration.
Warmly,
Chris
