Chloé Tremblay

Fortunately, all things pass!

 Chloé - in treatment

Hi, my name is Chloé Tremblay-Venneri. I'm 16 years old, and I have Burkitt's Lymphoma and acute myeloid leukemia.

I was diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma in September 2019. Following my treatment, in August 2020 I was then diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukemia). The AML is drug-therapy-related cancer that was caused by one of the chemotherapies used to fight my lymphoma. The odds of this kind of treatment-related cancer are one in 100,000. I began treatment in the fall and went for a stem cell transplant on November 11. I have spent a lot of time in the hospital, but luckily, I recently "graduated" to just one monthly appointment! I live in the Ottawa region. In my family, we love to laugh… and we are passionate about skiing!

The CHEO Foundation supports research into less invasive cancer treatments... and that makes all the difference!
