Annick (Tremblant)

Bit by bit, it’s getting colder. We gave you some ideas to put some muscle into your summer fundraising. Now here are some autumn updates.

The weather is cooling down and the wash-o-thons are less tempting. Swap your sponges for a rake and rake your neighbours’ leaves in exchange for a donation. You can offer to help with the installation of a car shelter, or stack some wood…which is also good exercise. You can also offer to help people in your neighbourhood finish up their outdoor chores in preparation for winter, whether it’s painting a fence or getting the flower beds ready for the cold weather.

For those who think big, what about organizing a fundraising dinner? After all, there’s nothing more appealing than a good, hot, comforting supper at this time of year. You can also ask for a donation from businesses you visit a lot, or ask them for free space for soliciting their clients.

In other words, the only limit on your fundraising campaign is you. The possibilities are endless and the cause touches everyone. When you ask people for a donation in a respectful manner, and you don’t always ask the same people, who knows how far you can get!
