For the 9th consecutive year, the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, whose mission is to increase the odds of finding a cure for children with cancer by providing financial assistance for the creation, maintenance and development of the Centre de cancérologie pédiatrique Charles-Bruneau.

The Fellowship Program
This program promotes networking and facilitates the recruitment of top physicians. In their specific research areas, the fellows are major contributors to the discoveries of the Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau.
Therapy through the Arts
Expression and communication is facilitated through music or visual arts therapy, providing young people with emotional support during painful medical procedures which can help them overcome loneliness and maintain motivation when they must remain in isolation for immunity reasons.
The Research program on umbilical cord blood
The Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau has developed an expertise in cord blood transplants among children, thereby earning a reputation as one of the world’s leading pediatric cancer centres. More than 65 umbilical cord blood transplants have been performed at the Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau, with outcomes that are comparable to those observed in bone marrow transplants. Some 85% of pediatric cord blood transplants in Canada are performed at the Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau.
